Seeking a CDL Class A Driver to join a premier distributor of mattresses. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Class A CDL and at least one year of experience and the ability to drive a manual transmission.Pay: Starting off at 70 Cents a mileExperience a Work-Life Balance: You'll be home two nights a week plus weekends, allowing you to stayconnected to your friends and family. We don't staff our drivers for multi-week outings.Equipment: We've added new Kenworths to our fleet of late model, highly maintained trucks. The truck youreceive will be your own and you won't have to clean up messes from other drivers or inherit mechanicalissues. Maintenance provided, keeping you on the road and then back home sooner.ResponsibilitiesTransports deliveries according to manifest in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company; procedures and applicable DOT regulationsOperates company vehicle in a professional, safe, and courteous mannerFollows the daily delivery schedule or coordinates the most efficient deliveries by applyingknowledge of customer schedules, peak delivery times, and alternate routesApplies knowledge and abilities to safely load and unload deliveries according to size of load and content descriptionProcesses shipment documents neatly and efficiently for each shipment, and manages discrepancy documentationProvides good customer service and maintains a professional manner and appearance to enhance the company's imagePerforms daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, corrective and preventative maintenance and documents on the driver's truck inspection sheetsMaintains a daily, legible DOT log book and submits as requiredMaintains valid driver's license, endorsements and DOT physical card and submits copies of renewals to the manager in a timely fashionPerforms other related duties as assignedRequirementsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and1 year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be able to perform with minimal or no supervisionMust be able to climb, bend, stand for extended periods of time, etc.Valid driver's license - CDL - Class ABenefitsRetention and safety bonusesCompetitive Medical, Dental & Vision PlansCompany-paid Life Insurance and Long-term Disability (Short-term Disability and AD&D available)Secure your future with a 401k planAggressive Paid Time Off Plan (10 PTO days plus 8 paid holidays per year!)
