Floating Kitchen Manager - District Wide - 6:00am - 2:30pm (Mon-Fri)

Now hiring a Full-Time 10 month Floating Kitchen Manager!This unique position will support our school kitchens by providing coverage for both short-term and extended absences of existing kitchen managers, ensuring smooth operational continuity. This role will also assist with training and onboarding of kitchen staff.This position demands a high degree of flexibility, as the ideal candidate will be required to travel to various school locations within the district, responding to the current needs of the Food Service Team.Position IncludesHealth, Dental, Vision, Life InsurancePaid Holidays and Sick LeaveExcellent Retirement PlanSame schedule as studentsTitle: Floating Kitchen ManagerReports to: Food Service Director and Operations ManagerGeneral Summary: Coordinates and manages the food service program at an individual school.Essential FunctionsSupervises daily food preparation for school. Provides leadership and direction for staff. Provides orientation and training to new employees. Coordinates, schedules, and assigns work for food service staff. Checks quality of work by monitoring employee actions. Evaluates and conducts employee performance appraisals. Resolves staff grievances if necessary. Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations. Assists in daily food preparation for school. Cooks, prepares individual portions, and performs other food preparation duties.Prepares daily, monthly, and yearly food service reports and other paperwork as required.Prepares, receives, and verifies food/supply orders according to schedule. Submits orders through established ordering Performs monthly inventory of food/supplies.Serves prepared food to students.Cleans equipment used, including utensils, dishes, mixers, and machines.
