Dispatch Assistant

Job Description:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Courier Dispatcher to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operations of courier drivers, ensuring efficient delivery schedules, timely pickups and exceptional customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills, multitasking ability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSchedule, route, and dispatch courier drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of packagesMonitor and track delivery progress, addressing any delays or issues promptly to minimize disruptionsCommunicate with customers to confirm delivery details, provide updates and address inquiries or concernsUtilize dispatching software and tools to plan routes and optimize driver assignmentsMaintain accurate records of driver activities, delivery times and completed assignmentsDrive a company owned vehicle while making multiple stops throughout your day occassionallyCoordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure packages and prepared and ready for dispatchMonitor driver performance and provide feedback to ensure adherences to company standards and policiesManage emergency situations, such as vehicle breakdowns or weather disruptions, by reallocating resourcesPrepare and analyze reports on delivery performance, efficiency and customer satisfactionHard worker with outstanding work ethic and reliableJob RequirementsValid TX driver’s license and clean driving recordProven dispatching experience with Fedex, Amazon or logistics operationsMaintains all company equipment and vehicles in good conditionProficiency in using dispatching software, telematic systems and smart phone applicationsStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively with drivers/customersFollows all safety precautions and policies according to company guidelinesExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentProblem-solving skills and a proactive approach to handling operational challengesAbility to lift 5 to 50 pounds of merchandiseIf you are interested in joining our passion in the automotive industry, you’ll be part of a team that’s expanding and well known in the automotive industry.\nCompany DescriptionAuto Parts Couriers - Texas based logistics and courier companyCompany DescriptionAuto Parts Couriers - Texas based logistics and courier company
