Data Scientist (W2 Only)

Job Title: Data Scientist (GenAI) – Banking DomainLocation: Charlotte NC -onsite Role 12+ Months Contract role  Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Data Scientist with Generative AI (GenAI) expertise to support advanced analytics and AI initiatives for a leading banking client. The role involves building, evaluating, and deploying AI/ML and GenAI models to drive business insights, automation, and customer experience improvements Key Responsibilities•                    Develop and deploy GenAI solutions (LLMs, NLP, transformers) for banking use cases •                    Analyze large-scale financial datasets to extract insights and trends •                    Design, train, and optimize machine learning and GenAI models •                    Perform model evaluation, tuning, and experimentation •                    Build data pipelines and dashboards for business stakeholders •                    Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Risk) •                    Implement responsible AI practices and model governance •                    Translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions Required Skills•                    Strong experience in Python, SQL, and data analysis •                    Hands-on with Generative AI / LLMs (OpenAI, LangChain, etc.) •                    Experience with NLP, deep learning, or ML frameworks •                    Knowledge of model evaluation and experimentation techniques •                    Experience with large datasets and distributed computing •                    Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset •                    Excellent communication and stakeholder managementPreferred Skills•                    Experience in Banking / Financial Services domain •                    Exposure to Fraud detection, Risk modeling, Customer analytics •                    Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) •                    Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) •                    Experience with model deployment & MLOps Education•                    Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
