RBT Lead
DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Register Behavioral Technician (RBT) to join our team as the lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). You will be responsible for assisting behavior analysts to implement behavior reduction and skill acquisition treatment plans. The candidate will be assisting patients with day-to-day activities, monitor their behavior, record and collect data on patients' progress, and communicate with clients, developing group activities assisting with coverage at your home clinic and other locations. As well as act as a liaison between the direct care staff and leadership in the building. To be successful in this role, you will display a compassionate nature, empathy, and discretion in your work. You should have excellent communication and time management skills and be able to develop and maintain relationships with clients, supervisors, and colleagues. Prior experience in a behavioral health setting is advantageous.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide direct care to clients in a one-on-one or group therapy setting to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments as directed by the supervisor (50% direct hours minimum)Provide coverage for staff call outs at your home clinic or surrounding clinics (must be willing to travel) Execute new RBT onboard trainingServe as a mentor for RBTsAssist with developing and enforcing clinic schedules and structureProvide assistance on the floor to RBTsCollect and record data on patient’s behaviorCollaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of RBTsProvide a safe and supportive environment for patients and familyCarry out assisting with clinical assessments and other administrative dutiesAbility to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordinglyEffective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one timeAbility to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community membersAbility to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification BoardCommitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA lawsCommitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standards.Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocolsMust maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-upFollowing the behavior reduction and behavioral skill acquisition protocolsCollecting and recording data based on client behaviorCommunicating with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progressAssisting behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts in the preparation of client materialsWork with parents/caregivers to ensure clients are seen timely and efficientlyMaintain excellent communication and effective working relationships with clients, providers, administration, clinical and front office team membersPerform other duties and tasks as assignedAdditional Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of ABA proceduresAbility to speak clearly and conciselyAbility to develop goals, prioritize, organize and make most efficient use of timeAbility to use individual judgment to solve problems and make decisionsAbility to operate a computer and basic office equipmentDemonstrated strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with ability to transfer knowledge in a precise mannerRequirementsMinimum of 6 months of experience as a Lead RBTCertificate, bachelors, or associate’s degree in psychology, social work, special education or related field preferred.Additional certification may be required.Relevant experience preferred.Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry patients.Good verbal and written communication skillsGood interpersonal relationship skillsDesire for continued learning opportunities, and willingness to embrace instructionAbility to work with multi-disciplinary team members.Computer skills.Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders required
