This is a great opportunity for a smart, driven, and passionate public relations professional who’s ready to deepen their expertise in healthcare communications while contributing to work that makes a measurable business impact—not just media coverage.As an SAE, you’ll collaborate with some of the most recognized healthcare brands in the world, helping them tell stories that matter through strategic, data-informed communications across paid, earned, social, and owned channels.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the creation and execution of communications plans that align with healthcare and pharmaceutical client goals and business objectivesManage projects from inception through delivery—including milestone communications, data announcements, and consumer-facing campaigns—with attention to budget, timelines, and cross-functional coordinationLead the development of communications content involving technical/medical data (e.g., clinical study results, product safety language) and translate it into compelling narratives for target audiencesServe as a day-to-day client contact, supporting calls and correspondence with confidence and professionalismCollaborate across internal and external teams to ensure alignment and timely executionSupport and coach junior team members, helping to build their skills and contributionsParticipate in media outreach and engagement efforts across traditional, digital, and social channelsContribute to new business efforts through idea generation, research, and proposal developmentFoster strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partnersDemonstrate Edelman’s values through ethical and inclusive behaviors and a commitment to continuous learningRequired QualificationsAt least two years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishingBachelor’s degree in a related fieldPreferred QualificationsSuperior research, writing and editing skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectivelyExperience developing communication plans and executing public relations tacticsExcellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and project management abilities with keen attention to detailTeam-oriented mindset with a proactive, can-do attitudePrior experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical communications, particularly related to professional (HCP) audiencesComfort working with medical language, clinical trial data, and regulatory/legal review processesExperience with media outreach and understanding of integrated media strategiesConfidence in leading client-facing interactions and working with cross-functional teamsInterest in data-driven storytelling and complex areas of healthcareAbility to mentor junior staffExperience managing Medical, Legal and Regulatory reviews of materials using Veeva is a plus$60,000 - $80,000 a yearAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees.
