Parts Counter Clerk

Job TitleMonday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm Saturday 8 am - 12 pm (as needed/scheduled).Responsibilities:Pull orders for customers and assist customers in loading their purchasesAssist fellow counter salesmen when they have customers and you do notExpedite telephone calls, be courteous, kind and helpfulLearn all you can about the products we sell, Study product literature and information and attend training meetingsKnow the location of all products in the storeKnow the computer and its capabilities in assisting the sale. (Scanning the branches for materials, making transfers, expedite orders, create shipping tickets, etc.)Make suggestions for additional order items to every customer orderIntroduce & promote new items. Inform Supervisor of customer opinions of our productsKnow all of our buyers and the products they buy, Be familiar with procedures in non-stock purchases. Inform supervisor with any discrepancies found in inventory. Assist with inventory counts when needed. Put up and assist others in putting up stock when time permitsHelp all employees on products and their locationAssist warehouse when they are short handed and counter activity permitsKeep counter area clean, neat, safe and orderlyObey all company policies and promote safetyMust have Plumbing or electrical as a trades man or in a supply house and customer service experience.Must meet background & drug screen criteriaCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $16.00All compensation and pay rates are dependent upon skills and experience.
