This pivotal role requires a strategic leader who will effectively liaise between clinical staff, operational teams, and local stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to daily operations and patient care. This position will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing clinical and local operational readiness, conducting workflow evaluations, addressing potential challenges, and enhancing overall effectiveness and success. This position is remote but requires travel for “go-live” events.Key ResponsibilitiesEHR Go-Live Readiness Project Leadership: Coordinate and efficiently approach clinical and local operational readiness for each implementation project from initiation to completion across 5 regions and 36 markets. Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders. Coordinate project resources and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies as necessary. Lead and oversee EHR implementation projects from initiation to completion. Market Workflow Analysis: Minimize disruptions to daily operations and patient care by proactively addressing potential challenges. Conduct comprehensive gap analysis of market clinical workflows for gap analyses to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with local clinical staff to understand their needs and preferences regarding EHR usage. Develop workflow recommendations and implement changes to enhance efficiency and usability. Market Change Management: Prepare local stakeholders for upcoming changes by effectively communicating project objectives and timelines. Ensure operational readiness in clinical, registration, and scheduling processes. Collaborate with local informatics teams to integrate new technologies and systems seamlessly. Develop and implement superuser training programs for clinical staff, both pre-go-live and post-go-live, and provide ongoing consultation on training optimization. Training and Support: Develop and deliver training programs for clinical staff on EHR functionality, best practices, and workflows. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users during and after EHR implementation. Serve as a resource for staff inquiries and facilitate resolution of EHR-related issues. Quality Assurance and Testing: Develop test plans and scenarios to ensure the accuracy and functionality of the EHR system. Develop downtime procedure strategy. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback from stakeholders to inform system improvements. Conduct periodic audits to assess data integrity, compliance, and system performance. Clinical System Design: Lead participation in clinical system design, providing guidance and quick decision-making support for designated areas. Assist project teams in workflow discussions and decisions, offering expertise on how tools can be effectively utilized.System and Content Build: Collaborate with project teams on system and content build, contributing to workflow decisions and content modification. Assist in content build and modification activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and user needs.Peer Training: Serve as a resource for pilot and super user training, assessing early rounds of training and providing feedback to the training team. Deploy as a trainer for peers, leveraging expertise to facilitate effective training sessions.Go-Live Support: Provide assistance during go-live by addressing content creation needs and resolving general workflow questions in designated "hot spots." Represent peers in escalating issues and prioritizing concerns, ensuring smooth transition post go-live.Post-Live Support: Conduct weekly office hours for builders to engage with analysts and Epic technical services representatives, discussing scenarios and assisting with upgrades. Act as the first line of defense for specialty areas, filtering projects for triage and resolution by the project team.Analytics Collaboration: Provide valuable insights for the development of dashboards, Reporting Workbench reports, SlicerDicer use cases, and Cosmos. Collaborate with teams to build and enhance analytics tools, aiming to improve operational efficiency and patient care outcomes.QualificationsEducation:MD, DO, NP or PA requiredExperienceRequired:5 years of Informatics experience and 5 years of clinical practice requiredBoard Certification in clinical specialty or informatics certification requiredState medical licenseMastery of Management Principles, Practices, and Techniques.Proficiency in Information Technology Principles, Practices, and Techniques.Familiarity with Applicable CommonSpirit Health Policies, Procedures, and Information Technology Systems.Understanding of Applicable Federal, State, and Local Laws, Codes, and Regulations.Expertise in Managing, Monitoring, and Evaluating Staff. Competence in Planning Tactical and Operational Activities.Strong Problem-Solving and Process Analysis Skills. Effective Written and Oral Communication and Interpersonal Skills, suitable for interaction with coworkers, supervisors, and the public, facilitating the exchange of information and receipt of work direction.Preferred:5 years experience with Epic EHR while caring for patientsEpic InPatient experience Pay Range$92.88 - $148.61/hour
