General Superintendent - Miscellaneous Metals Location: Virginia Travel: Regional travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic required Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Compensation: Starting around $90,000 annually, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications Overview We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead field operations for miscellaneous metals projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. This role is responsible for overseeing installation teams, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating resources, and driving successful project execution in a fast-paced construction environment. What You'll Be DoingLead and support site foremen and field teams on miscellaneous metals installationsPromote a strong safety culture through training, enforcement, and regular safety meetingsEnsure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and job-specific requirementsCoordinate labor schedules, materials, and equipment for multiple job sitesCollaborate with contractors and internal teams to align on project goals and timelinesMonitor project progress and provide regular updatesSupport installation activities including stairs, handrails, structural components, rigging, and finish workApply quality standards throughout planning and execution phasesForecast labor needs and assist with staffing coordination What We're Looking For10+ years of experience in miscellaneous metals installation or related fieldStrong leadership experience managing field teams and foremenWorking knowledge of AWS D1.1 and welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW)Experience with tools such as Bluebeam, Trimble Connect, and TeklaOSHA 30 certification preferredValid driver's license requiredWillingness to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays What We OfferCompany vehicle and gas cardOpportunity to lead diverse field projects across the Mid-AtlanticCompetitive compensation with flexibility for top candidatesOngoing training and leadership development We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
