Electrical Engineering Intern

Yank Technologies, Inc. is a wireless charging startup in Brooklyn, New York. We develop long-range, high power wireless charging technology. Safe. Simple. No contact required. With patented antenna and amplifier developments in resonant inductive technology, we provide a scalable solution for variable ranges of power and distances. We have multiple automotive, industrial, and consumer manufacturer customers for wirelessly charging consumer devices, robotic vehicles, and vehicle interior electronics, such as car seat subsystems, NASA rovers, and power tools.We are looking for an Electrical Engineer Intern to join our team and assist the Senior Power Electronics Engineer, Lead in organizing data and materials, testing, and analyzing our wireless charging systems with a focus on the MotherBox, phone cases, and vehicle and industrial projects. This internship is an opportunity to expand your knowledge of wireless charging, power electronic design, and consumer product manufacturing. The principal responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer Intern are:Implement test procedures under the guidance of the Senior Power Electronics Engineer, LeadCollect, record, and consistently update data gathered from lab testingOrganize electronic materials for testing and lab studiesPCB assembly and circuit debuggingRetune impedance matching networks with smith charts and VNAQualifications RequiredBachelor’s Degree in Electrical EngineeringAt least 1 year of hands-on laboratory testing experience Experience in power electronics and analog circuit designThe ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writingAbility to operate in a fast-paced environment, make effective and timely decisions, and solve problemsPassion for creating a wireless world where the state of your battery is not a concern but a mere afterthoughtQualifications PreferredMaster’s Degree in Electrical EngineeringAt least one year of professional experience in power electronicsPrior experience with a VNAs, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzersPrior experience with Class D/E Amplifier circuitsPrior experience with the following software packages: CST, HFSS, Altium, LTSpice, Eagle, and MatlabPrior experience working at a startup
