JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing CNC) Location: 7301 Orangewood Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92841 Pay Rate: $35.00/hr $40.00/hr (W2, based on experience) Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension) Schedule: 1:00 PM 9:30 PM (Monday Friday) Qualifications & Requirements EducationSome trade school experience Preferred Licenses & CertificationsAM/PM Certification PreferredGreen Belt / Black Belt or advanced technical problem-solving certification Preferred Work ExperienceMaintenance and repair service experience in a manufacturing environment 3+ years (Required)Experience with CMMS or CAFM systems PreferredCNC, injection molding, and tooling repair experience PreferredOEMs: Mazak, DMG-MORI, Engel, Toshiba Technical Skills & KnowledgeStrong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of:Electrical and mechanical systems 2+ years (Required)Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills 2+ years (Required)Ability to quickly define problems and implement solutions RequiredKnowledge of local building codes and OSHA regulations RequiredFamiliarity with current health and safety regulations RequiredAbility to read blueprints and interpret technical manuals RequiredKnowledge of:Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systemsPLCs and control systems PreferredUnderstanding of maintenance metrics (MTBF, MTTF, MTTR) PreferredUnderstanding of machine failure types and causes PreferredStrong CMMS system knowledge RequiredLean / World Class Manufacturing principles Preferred Quality & Safety Expectations Employees are responsible for:Understanding and following all quality and safety policiesCompleting all required safety and quality trainingAdhering to safety rules and proceduresReporting unsafe conditions or quality issues immediatelyPromoting a no-blame safety cultureUpholding data integrity principles Responsibilities The ideal candidate will support manufacturing machinery and facility services, including building systems maintenance, repairs, improvements, and custodial services. This role requires continuous focus on safety, environmental, and health standards. Key responsibilities include:Ensuring safe maintenance practices (LOTO, permits, safety audits)Responding to breakdowns and radio calls promptlyCompleting work orders (PMs and reactive maintenance) on timeCoordinating with maintenance administration on parts and PM planningEscalating safety or operational concerns as neededDriving 5S standards in the maintenance shopParticipating in early equipment management for new projectsServing as a role model for EHS, 5S, and workplace safety standardsLeading and participating in EHS inspections, audits, and assessmentsIdentifying and mitigating equipment hazards during PMsPerforming safety audits (pressure vessels, cranes, forklifts, welding, electrical systems, etc.)Assessing EHS risks before equipment purchases and upgrades Comments / Special InstructionsPossible temp-to-permMust have hands-on machine maintenance and repair experienceCNC machine maintenance experience is strongly preferredManufacturing environment experience is requiredNice to have: handyman-type experience for building support
