SUMMARY
Southwest Tech is seeking an innovative and dynamic Artificial Intelligence (AI) Training Coordinator to promote a culture of
innovation and continuous improvement across the college. The AI Training Coordinator will lead initiatives that focus on
leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and other technology systems to enhance faculty and staff professional development,
maximize college operational efficiencies, and improve student learning outcomes. This role is crucial to advancing our
college's strategic initiatives by integrating AI into the college culture so that faculty and staff can focus on human
relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Promoting a Culture of Improvement:
o Align AI initiatives with the college strategic direction goals.
o Lead the professional development workgroup.
o Facilitate workshops and meetings to engage faculty and staff in continuous improvement activities by
promoting the use of AI tools and other resources that support diverse learning preferences and working
styles, improving both student and employee experiences.
o Utilize AI tools for recruitment, onboarding, and retention to identify and attract high-quality candidates
and improve employee engagement and performance.
Professional Development Programs:
o Identify employee training needs; design and deliver training programs that use AI and other technologies
to enhance user skills, with a focus on continuous learning, adaptability, and innovation in a rapidly
evolving educational environment.
o Integrate AI technologies into faculty and staff professional development plans and processes.
o Lead compliance and ethics in AI training.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
o Identify college processes that need improvement and leverage AI and other systems to automate and
enhance efficiency in departments.
o Collaborate with academic departments to utilize AI in identifying and supporting at-risk students,
personalizing learning experiences, and providing targeted interventions to improve student success and
retention.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
o Track the effectiveness of professional development programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
o Analyze employee and student data using AI tools and other technology systems to identify trends,
predict outcomes, and inform strategic planning and policy development.
o Ensure ethical AI use that mitigates bias.
o Monitor evolution of AI and staying relevant with changes.
o Provide ongoing support and training to ensure successful adoption of AI technologies.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
3-5 years of experience providing technical assistance, specifically AI assistance, to users in an office setting.
Project management experience is required.
Proven ability to lead and manage change, particularly in integrating new technologies into existing systems and
processes.

KNOWLEDGE
• High level of knowledge and experience with
Microsoft 365 required.
High level knowledge and experience with AI tools
and technologies and their applications required.
SKILLS
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in using
data to drive decision-making.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and
project management skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle
sensitive information.
