Summer Wealth Management Intern

WHO are we looking for? CAPTRUST is offering a paid internship in our Brentwood, TN office that will provide exposure to the inner workings of a wealth management firm. This position will be trained in different aspects of financial planning and wealth management. Hands-on learning starts day one in this fast-paced environment. The intern will also be trained in multiple softwares used throughout the firm. Primary responsibilities may include the following, amongst others:ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning/Para-planner activities (+/-75%)Attend client meetings in a support role including meeting preparation and follow-up activitiesAssist with gathering client information and creation of high-quality retirement plansAssist in preparing client account and retirement plan reportsLearn our portfolio management systemsAd-hoc Research (+/-10%) – Assist in internal research and client specific research projectsAdministrative (+/-15%) – Support client services and administrative teams as needQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Actively pursuing undergraduate/graduate degree from an accredited institution, college, or universityAny school of business majors (Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred)Significant interest in the workings of financial planning and wealth management and intend to pursue the CFP designation upon graduationDesired Qualifications/Skills:Strong self-starterHigh-level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programsExcellent communication and client service skillsOrganized, detail-oriented and able to multitask with proven ability to plan and achieve resultsDemonstrate high work ethics and integrityAbility to maintain absolute confidentiality of informationTeam player, collaborative, able to work with and through othersAbility to prioritize tasks and to manage multiple reporting relationshipsWHAT can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?Our colleagues, like our clients, tend to stay with CAPTRUST for years.
