Job Title: Web Services .NET/C# DeveloperLocation:Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex, Montgomery, ALor RemoteJob Summary:The Web Services Developer will support the design, development, enhancement, and sustainment of enterprise-level Air Force aircraft communications, equipment maintenance, and training simulation systems. This role focuses on developing secure, scalable web services and APIs using .NET, C#, and Azure cloud technologies to support mission-critical applications. The candidate will apply industry-standard software engineering practices to design, develop, integrate, and maintain service-oriented solutions that support both legacy and modernized system architectures.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain web services and APIs using C# and the .NET framework (.NET Core / .NET 6+)Develop and support SOAP-based and RESTful web services for system integrationImplement secure service endpoints in compliance with DoD cybersecurity and RMF requirementsDeploy and manage Azure cloud resources using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templatesSupport Azure-based services including App Services, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, and API ManagementIntegrate web services with Oracle and/or SQL Server databasesDevelop scalable backend business logic to support enterprise applicationsTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize service performance in production environmentsPrepare technical documentation, interface control documents (ICDs), and API specificationsParticipate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and RetrospectivesCollaborate with architects, cybersecurity teams, QA, and DevSecOps engineers to ensure compliance and maintainabilityContribute to CI/CD pipeline development and automated deployments in Azure environmentsApply secure coding practices and conduct peer code reviews Required Experience & Abilities:5+ years of professional experience developing .NET applications and web servicesStrong proficiency in C#Experience developing and consuming SOAP web servicesExperience building RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Web API or .NET CoreHands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud servicesExperience creating and deploying infrastructure using ARM templatesSolid understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and distributed systemsExperience with SQL and database integrationStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skillsAbility to work independently and within a collaborative Agile teamStrong written and verbal communication skills Desired Experience & Abilities:Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, STIG compliance)Experience in enterprise system integration within large operational environmentsExperience with ARM Templates and writing IaCKnowledge of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, Azure AD, SAML)Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Familiarity with DevSecOps practicesExperience supporting Air Force or DoD IT systems Job Stipulations:Must maintain DOD 8570 required certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Minimum Education:HS diploma with 9 years’ IT experienceAssociates with 7 years’ IT experienceBachelors with 5 years’ IT experience Job Stipulations:Must maintain DOD 8570 required certification, CompTIA Security+ or equivalentMust be compliant with DOD vaccination policies Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerCompany Benefits:Competitive health care package, vision, and dental, life insurance coverage, 401k matching, training expense, competitive PTO, Holiday and sick leave.
