Within this environment, the Risk Control Assurer (RCA) plays a key role in strengthening the operational risk and internal control framework, supporting business growth while promoting sound governance, transparency, and adherence to internal standards and regulatory expectations.Position SummaryThe RCA Analyst / Senior Analyst will support the execution of the operational risk and control framework across CIB USA, with a strong emphasis on the admission, coordination, monitoring, and governance of new initiatives under the updated Operational Risk process.This role will serve as a key point of coordination among Sponsors, Engineering RCA, support areas, and business stakeholders to ensure that initiatives are appropriately reviewed, challenged, documented, and routed through the relevant governance path. The individual will help assess whether initiatives give rise to incremental operational risk, ensure timely follow-up of required validations and feedback, and support escalation and committee coordination when full admission is required.In addition, the role will contribute to broader RCA activities, including control monitoring, issue follow-up, governance reporting, and support for internal review, audit, and remediation processes. The position offers strong exposure to Front Office businesses, support functions, and senior stakeholders across the CIB environment.Key ResponsibilitiesNew Initiatives Admission & Non Financial Risk (NFR) Governance? Coordinate the end-to-end RCA workflow for new initiatives under the updated NFR admission process.? Perform the initial pre-assessment of incoming initiatives to determine whether additional profiling is required.? Support Sponsors in the completion of required documentation and ensure submissions are complete, consistent, and ready for review.? Validate required RCA checkpoints prior to formal submission.? Monitor the review period by support areas, track comments, restrictions, and open items, and ensure appropriate follow-up with relevant stakeholders.? Assess, together with the relevant stakeholders, whether an initiative generates incremental operational risk and should remain under first-line governance or be escalated to the full admission process.? Document decisions, status updates, and governance outcomes through the relevant internal processes. ? When required, initiate the appropriate governance workflow and coordinate support for presentation to the relevant committees.? Support the follow-up of tiering outcomes, approvals, and delegated decisions, as applicable.Risk & Control Framework Support? Support the implementation and ongoing execution of the operational risk framework across CIB USA activities. ? Assist in identifying operational and control risks arising from business processes, new products, services, or changes in operating models.? Contribute to the design, documentation, and enhancement of preventive and mitigating controls.? Maintain clear, structured, and audit-ready documentation supporting RCA activities and governance decisions.Monitoring, Issues, and Remediation? Track action plans, issues, and findings resulting from governance reviews, control assessments, audits, or business monitoring activities.? Follow up with stakeholders to support timely remediation and proper closure evidence.? Maintain visibility over key pending items and escalate delays or control gaps where appropriate.Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination? Prepare materials, summaries, and status reporting for management and governance forums.? Partner effectively with Front Office, support areas, Compliance, Engineering, and other control functions to support strong execution of the RCA mandate. ? Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders while applying constructive challenges and maintaining collaborative working relationships. ? Contribute to the continuous improvement of RCA processes, governance routines, and reporting practices.Qualifications & Experience? Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. ? 2–5 years of relevant experience in Risk Management, Internal Controls, Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, or related control functions within banking, financial services, or consulting environments.? Experience supporting governance processes, risk assessments, control reviews, issue remediation, or initiative approval workflows is strongly preferred. ? Exposure to Corporate & Investment Banking products, businesses, or support functions is a plus. ? Understanding of operational risk concepts and internal control frameworks.? Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.? Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.? Advanced Excel skills and solid proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.? Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish are required.Preferred Profile? Comfortable working across business, support, and control functions in a dynamic CIB environment.? Able to combine process discipline with sound judgment and strong stakeholder management. ? Detail-oriented, proactive, and effective in driving follow-up and closure.? Capable of providing constructive challenges while maintaining credibility and partnership with the business.? It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
