OverviewA warm, busy family of five in the Mid-Peninsula area of San Francisco, CA, is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and personable Family Assistant / Backup Nanny to support their household. This is a full-time, long-term position that combines family assistantresponsibilities with backup nanny support.The role is ideal for a candidate interested in a variety of tasks who values being a part of a team, working with children, and is interested in developing their career path toward estate management.Schedule OverviewThe household operates on a split shared schedule. Some travel may be involved.ResponsibilitiesInclude, but are not limited to:Family Assistant (Primary Focus)Household organization and inventory managementPurchasing household supplies and gifts; coordinating exchanges and returnsSupporting family events and managing children's calendarsAssisting the Estate Manager with vendors, projects, décor coordination, and light staffing oversightStepping in to support household operations when the Estate Manager is off-siteMaintaining a streamlined vendor approach and assisting with special projects as neededAssist with party planning Travel as requestedAd hoc tasksBackup Nanny/Childcare SupportMorning support during heavier childcare weeks, including breakfast and lunch preparation and getting children ready for school (parents handle school drop-off)Afternoon support during later shifts, including school and activity pick-ups, homework supervision, bath time, dinner, and bedtime routinesProviding childcare coverage when the full-time nanny is unavailableConfidently managing three children, ages 6–11, with a calm, capable presenceQualificationsProactive team player who takes pride in their work and has a service mindsetCalm under pressure: able to move fluidly through the day without becoming overwhelmedWarm, reliable, proactive, and highly organized – always 2 steps aheadPositive, solutions-oriented, self-starter who reads the room well and knows when to step in/out Comfortable in a semi-formal, fully staffed household with strong respect for privacy and discretionProfessional and thoughtfulHas a plan A, a plan B, and the ability to pivotResourceful and confidentRequirementsA 4-year college degree and 5 years of relevant experience, such as nannying, teaching, or executive assistantTech-savvy (Google Suite)Strong swimmer – The family has a poolValid driver's license and clean driving record (nanny car provided for child transport)Trustline Certified or willing to become Trustline CertifiedCPR CertifiedMust be legal to work in the U.S. and have a clean background checkSalary and BenefitsThe family is offering $140,000+ DOE, full health benefits, 401(k) with employer match after 6 months, paid sick leave, and vacation
