Oil and Gas ExtractionCommercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and MaintenanceSupport Activities for Road TransportationAgriculture, Construction, and Mining Machinery ManufacturingAutomotive Repair and MaintenanceThe Hydraulic Mechanic is responsible for performing inspections and repairs on hydraulic equipment in all areas onboard.ResponsibilitySpecific tasks include, but are not limited to the below.Perform other work as directedEmergency responsibilities as per station billResponsible ForCarrying out inspections, repairs and maintenance of the hydraulic installations and equipmentMonitoring the condition of hydraulic parts of the drilling equipmentImplementation of outstanding recommendations from equipment audits by customer, class or managementCarry out periodic maintenance according to the planned maintenance guidelines and coordinate same with supervisors and other departmentsMaintain equipment manuals, service reports and advise supervisor on condition of equipment and spare parts availabilityOrder new spare parts and maintain an adequate stock of spares in order to fulfil maintenance requirementsCarry out assigned tasks in a safe manner following company policies and proceduresDaily cleaning and housekeeping in workshops and other areasParticipate InOther relevant maintenance tasksDepartment safety meeting and technical meetings as directed by supervisorOn-The-Job training of drilling crewGeneral ResponsibilityResponsible for the safe and efficient execution of duties in accordance with the management system, instructions and training within Noble.ExperienceQualification requirements:Background as Craftsman within heavy industries preferredPreferably experience on offshore drilling unitsPreferably certified Mechanic including an approved apprenticeshipCertification RequirementsTraining according to training matrixCetop 1&2Additional SkillsComputer literateConversant with safety management systemGood verbal and written English skillsKnowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, components and principles of fluid power neededSafety And EnvironmentConduct themselves in a manner which safeguards their own and their colleagues' safety and healthEnsure their actions do not compromise the Company's procedures for safeguarding the environment
