DistrictJob PostingAssistant PrincipalRamapo High SchoolApplication Deadline: May 21, 2026Reports to:Principal and Superintendent of SchoolsKey Responsibilities:Assists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of all aspects of the school's instructional program; supports curriculum development, staff evaluation, and data-driven improvement of student outcomes.Initiates and implements student disciplinary procedures and student assistance services; evaluates the effectiveness of the total student discipline program within assigned grade levels.Assists in the development and adherence to guidelines that promote effective communication with students, parents, staff, community members, and central administration.Coordinates and assists in the management of the Master Schedule in collaboration with the guidance and curriculum department; oversees section forecasting, scheduling, and student enrollment input.Ensures effective use of technology for attendance management, discipline tracking, and parent communication; works with staff to establish consistent protocols.Assists in maintaining a safe, efficient, and orderly school facility; implements district policies for building inspection, maintenance, and emergency procedures.Supports professional growth initiatives for staff; encourages effective teaching methods, interdisciplinary learning, and technology integration.Maintains high ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional relationships with students, staff, parents, and the broader community.Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent within the scope of employment and certification.Qualifications:Valid New Jersey Principal Certificate (Standard or Certificate of Eligibility).Valid New Jersey Teacher CertificationMaster's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.Demonstrated experience in secondary education with evidence of instructional leadership.Strong skills in student relations, staff evaluation, scheduling, and school organization.Successful criminal history background check required.Compensation:Salary will be in accordance with the current Ramapo Indian Hills Administrators Association (RIHAA) agreement, in the range of $125,000 $161,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
