EXPERIENCED MECHANIC - FORKLIFTS or HEAVY EQUIPMENT

Mechanic vehicle with fuel and all maintenance provided. Vehicle can be driven home daily.
General Objective:
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical Forklift equipment, perform repairs and scheduled maintenance work based on customer needs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Act in professional manner and provide a superior level of customer service and satisfaction.
Expertly analyze and diagnose customer equipment problems and breakdowns.
Recommend the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance issues.
Make appropriate equipment repairs or modifications to solve operating and performance concerns.
Observe all safety procedures, ensure hazardous waste is properly disposed of.
Provide well-maintained personal tools required to effectively perform duties.
Perform other department responsibilities as assigned.
Skills Required:
Effectively communicate with co-workers and management.
Three years of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience preferred. Equivalent college or vocational school education taken into consideration.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
The ability to understand and interpret related service manuals and schematics.
Keep pace with industry innovations in order to make sound and accurate recommendations.
Safely operate power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks and overhead cranes.
The ability to perform strenuous and heavy work, can exert force up to 100 pounds on occasion and frequently handle load to 50 pounds.
Must have the physical stamina to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, pushing, lifting, reaching, etc.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a maintenance environment with potential equipment movement hazards as well as exposure to chemicals and solvents that require knowledge of proper safety procedures.
Work is performed at customer's locations.

Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
