CNC Lathe Set-up /Operator MAZAKThis role provides a tremendous opportunity to work within a world-class operation that provides an opportunity for future career growth.Set-up CNC Lathe machines according to specifications and blueprints.Install and adjust tooling, fixtures and machine controls.Perform first-piece Inspections to ensure accuracy and qualityOperate CNC lathes to produce metallic components: sizes range from 2-inch diameter/short length to 20-inch diameter/long lengthUse instruments and gauges, along with shop tools to verity operational drawing requirements and part conformanceRead and understand basic technical drawings to produce parts that meet specificationsMonitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of tolerance machiningMake necessary adjustments to maintain product qualityUse indexable cutting tools to ensure proper edgeResponsible for maintaining lot traceability and accountabilityMeasure and document dimensions during operations and maintain appropriate machining and operations recordsWillingness and commitment to teach and to help improve skill sets in othersAdditional ResponsibilitiesMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsWork independently with/without minimal direction of senior personnel in functional areaFollow company process and procedures to comply with ISO and AS9100 standardsFollow company established safety standardsOther duties as assignedAuthority to perform all tasks/activities responsible forBasic QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED 7+ years of general CNC work experienceMust be a US Citizen (required for facility compliance).Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently to achieve goals and objectives.Knowledge of basic machining principles and GD&TStrong analytical skills with the ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments, and gauges to ensure proper setups and machining operationsExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detailWork EnvironmentThe job operates in a manufacturing atmosphere.
