OpenShift Technical LeadRemobi | Fully Remote (EU) | B2B/Freelance/Contract | 9-12 Months Initial (High Chance of Extension) | Early October 2026 startWe are Remobi - we help businesses scale and innovate through high-performing, remote nearshore tech teams.We're hiring an OpenShift Technical Lead to shape, deliver, and continuously improve cloud and edge platform architectures for a global energy technology company.This is a technical leadership role spanning Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, containers, Linux, networking, storage, software architecture, and security - working closely with engineering, security, operations, and application teams to turn business requirements into resilient, scalable, secure, and supportable platform solutions.What You'll DoLead the design and evolution of cloud, hybrid-cloud, and edge architectures aligned with business, operational, and technical requirementsDefine platform principles, reference architectures, engineering standards, and technology roadmaps for enterprise and distributed environmentsOwn the architecture, implementation, lifecycle management, and optimization of container platforms based on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShiftEstablish standards for Linux operating systems, automation, configuration, patching, hardening, and operational supportDesign and guide software-defined networking, connectivity, ingress, load-balancing, and network-security solutionsDefine storage architectures and integration patterns that address availability, performance, scalability, backup, and recovery requirementsReview software and infrastructure designs to improve scalability, maintainability, reliability, observability, and supportabilityEmbed security, compliance, and risk-management requirements throughout the platform lifecyclePartner with engineering, security, operations, and application teams to accelerate platform adoption and continuous improvementLead the diagnosis and resolution of complex platform issues, including root-cause analysis and preventive actionsMentor engineers, facilitate technical decision-making, and promote consistent engineering practices across teamsWhat We're Looking ForMust-have:Demonstrated experience designing and delivering cloud, hybrid-cloud, or edge platform architecturesDeep knowledge of Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance, and security hardeningHands-on expertise with containers, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift in production environmentsStrong understanding of software-defined networking, network segmentation, traffic management, and platform connectivityExperience designing and integrating enterprise storage solutions for containerized workloadsProven capability in software architecture, infrastructure design, automation, and platform engineeringStrong knowledge of security standards, compliance controls, identity and access management, and secure engineering practicesNice-to-have:Experience delivering platforms in large-scale enterprise, industrial, or operational-technology environmentsExposure to hybrid-cloud, disconnected, and geographically distributed edge deploymentsExperience working in regulated, safety-critical, or security-sensitive environmentsRelevant certifications in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, cloud architecture, or securityWhy This RoleYou'll set the technical direction for a critical enterprise OpenShift platform - shaping architecture, standards, and practices that ripple across engineering and operations teams.
