Overview
INTECON is seeking a Curriculum Developer that designs, develops, and maintains training curricula for the Special Tactics Training Squadron programs of instruction. This role is essential to ensuring STTS training programs remain current, effective, and aligned with SOF operational requirements. The developer works in an office environment to create comprehensive curriculum packages that support the full range of Special Tactics training including Pararescue, Combat Control, and Special Reconnaissance courses.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain curriculum for STTS programs of instruction across all Special Tactics career fields
Create lesson plans, training guides, and instructional materials covering radio communications, airborne operations, weapons systems, land navigation, tactical vehicle operations, and special operations mission planning
Conduct training needs analysis and translate operational requirements into curriculum objectives
Ensure curriculum compliance with Air Force and DoD instructional design standards
Collaborate with subject matter experts (instructors) to validate curriculum accuracy and relevance
Review and update existing curriculum based on lessons learned, doctrinal changes, and emerging requirements
Develop assessment instruments and evaluation criteria aligned with training objectives
Maintain curriculum documentation and version control for all training materials
Support curriculum accreditation and quality assurance processes
Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Educational Design or related field
Minimum five (5) years working with Department of Defense in Instructional Design/Curriculum Development
Active Secret security clearance
Ability to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of computers including Internet, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Windows
Ability to obtain and maintain any required base access credentials
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing curriculum for military or SOF training programs
Familiarity with Air Force or DoD formal school curriculum standards
Knowledge of ADDIE model or equivalent instructional systems design methodology
Experience with training program accreditation processes
Background in adult learning theory and competency-based training design
Familiarity with Special Operations mission sets and terminology
