Occupational Therapist

Conecta Education is currently hiring an Occupational Therapist in the greater Santa Cruz County Area: Full TimeAugust 2026 to June 20275 days per week, Mon-Fri37.5 hours per week, 7:45 am to 4:15 p.m. 1/2 hour unpaid lunchElementary and Middle School age studentsPay starts at $78 an hour!Responsibilities:Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with each student's IEP (Individualized Education Program)Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and self-care skillsDevelop measurable goals and treatment plans aligned with educational objectivesDeliver direct therapy services (individual and/or group) in school-based settingsCollaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student successParticipate in IEP meetings , including initial, annual, and triennial reviewsMaintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, service logs, and assessment reportsMonitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as neededProvide consultation to school staff regarding classroom accommodations and strategiesEnsure compliance with Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and California state regulationsSupport students in accessing the curriculum through adaptive techniques, equipment, and environmental modifications Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited programCurrent, active licensure through the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT)Valid California driver's license (if travel between school sites is required)Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferredConecta prides itself in specializing solely in educational staffing.
