Occupational Therapist
Ridgeview Le Sueur is building a rehab team that are experts in critical access care, orthopedics, and outpatient neurology. You will join more than 100 members of a larger Ridgeview Rehab team with excellence in practice and professional growth support.
Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, documentation and education of Occupational Therapy clients accessing the Rehab Specialties department.
Job Functions
Performs evaluations, documents care, and discharges client cases according to RMC and professional standards.
Provides current and quality treatment, utilizing Ridgeview and professional resources to promote continued quality care.
Communicates with the patient, health care providers, insurer and others to ensure that patient needs are addressed.
Exhibits working knowledge of hours of operation, customer base, department operations, visit procedures (i.e. Home Care), and chart audit procedures.
Understands and uses reimbursements and regulatory guidelines for care and environment.
Provides effective supervision of aides, students and volunteers when occupational therapy is provided.
Assists in keeping treatment environment, tools and equipment organized, clean, and safe to maximize treatment effectiveness.
Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to work independently and organize tasks
Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
Ability to exhibit flexibility, self-control and maturity in work and behavior
Ability to promote Rehab Specialties services
Ability to change work locations with or without prior notification in order to meet customer needs
Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
Ability to work autonomously and as a team
Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills
License/Certifications
Licensed Occupational Therapist, valid in Minnesota
CPR Certification
