Sales & Purchasing Coordinator

Lone Star is hiring a high-performance Sales & Purchasing Coordinator to help strengthen execution, improve follow-through, and ensure orders move through the business with accuracy and urgency.This is not a role for someone who wants to simply process paperwork, wait for direction, or operate reactively. This is a role for someone who takes ownership of details, closes loops, follows through relentlessly, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.We are looking for someone who can step into a fast-moving manufacturing environment, take control of order execution, support customer responsiveness, and bring discipline to purchasing, quoting support, and order flow.This position is for high-performers only.If you are the kind of person who notices when something is missing, follows up without being asked, keeps things organized under pressure, and takes pride in getting things right the first time, we want to talk.What this role will ownYou will serve as a key execution partner across sales, purchasing, and order management, ensuring that work is processed accurately, moves forward consistently, and is not left incomplete or unresolved.Your responsibilities will include:Managing sales order entry with a high level of accuracy, ensuring part numbers, quantities, pricing, and customer details are correct before orders move forward Supporting quoting efforts by preparing, organizing, and following up on quotes to ensure timely customer response and clear communication Creating and managing purchase orders for required materials, components, and outside services, ensuring nothing needed for production is missed Tracking vendor confirmations, lead times, and deliveries, and proactively following up on late or at-risk items Monitoring open orders, backorders, and material gaps to ensure work continues moving without unnecessary delays Supporting communication between sales, production, and purchasing to ensure alignment on priorities, timing, and customer commitments Ensuring packing slips, shipping documentation, and order details are accurate before items leave the building Maintaining organized and up-to-date records within QuickBooks and internal systems so that order status, purchasing activity, and job progress are always visible Following up on outstanding items, unanswered emails, vendor delays, and internal gaps until they are resolved Raising issues early when something is unclear, missing, or at risk, rather than allowing problems to surface later What success looks likeWithin a short period of time, the right person will create noticeable improvement in execution and reliability.·       Orders will be entered correctly.·       Purchase orders will not be missed.·       Vendors will be followed up consistently.·       Fewer items will sit idle.·       Fewer mistakes will reach customers.·       Communication will be tighter and more responsiveThe business will feel more organized, more controlled, and less reactiveThis role is not judged by activity.
