RN Night Shift Inpatient

Their commitments to ethics and patient success are backed by the highest accreditation in the industry.The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care to individuals undergoing substance use and mental health treatment in a residential and detox setting. This role ensures patient safety, medication accuracy, and clinical documentation in accordance with facility policy, state regulations, and nursing best practices. The Night Shift RN works 7p-7a, full-time, every other weekend, and collaborates closely with recovery staff, on-site medical providers, and the multidisciplinary care team to maintain a therapeutic and supportive environment.Benefits:401(k) (After 90 days of continuous employment)Paid Time Off (PTO)Health, Dental, & Vision insurance (Offered after 60 days of employment)Compensation:Primary ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & MonitoringPerform initial and ongoing assessments for detox and residential patients, including vitals, CIWA/COWS scoring, and withdrawal monitoring.Provide patient education related to medications, treatment plans, and health needs.Respond promptly to medical or behavioral emergencies and follow facility protocols.Medication ManagementComplete accurate and timely medication passes during assigned hours.Administer medications, including insulin and PRNs, according to provider orders and facility policy.Perform narcotic counts, verify controlled substances, and document all discrepancies per policy.Ensure proper storage, labeling, and security of all medications.Documentation & ComplianceMaintain detailed, accurate, and timely documentation in the EMR.Record assessments, medication administration, interventions, and patient responses.Ensure compliance with state regulations, OSHA requirements, and facility standards.Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and shift hand-off communication.Collaboration & CommunicationWork closely with Recovery Coaches to coordinate patient movement and med-pass flow.Communicate changes in a patient's condition to the on-call provider and nursing leadership.Support the multidisciplinary team by reporting safety risks, patient concerns, and compliance issues.Night Shift OperationsAssist in patient admissions, inventories, and intake procedures as needed.Complete nightly clinical tasks, including safety checks, detox monitoring, and preparing for morning med pass.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe medical environment throughout the shift.Other related duties as assigned.QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of practiceCurrent CPR/BLS certification required1+ year of nursing experience preferredExperience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, detox, or residential care strongly preferredExperience administering medications and maintaining accurate EMR documentationKnowledge of CIWA/COWS assessments and withdrawal protocols preferredStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work overnight shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) including every other weekend
