Additionally, the CSU Total Compensation Calculator is available to help prospective employees understand the full value of the CSU benefits package and how it complements base salary.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of National and California Electrical Codes and demonstrates the ability to read, interpret, and work from plans and drawings. They bring general expertise in electrical tools, safety practices, installation, and maintenance, along with the capability to direct the work of unskilled helpers. The candidate can read, write, and perform essential arithmetic functions, and has the physical strength required for lifting and carrying loads (50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance), as well as for standing, climbing, crawling, and walking as needed for the job. They are able to learn and effectively use a sophisticated computerized work system appropriate to the position. A solid work history marked by personal integrity is essential, as is adherence to all University and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to safety, civility, while consistently maintaining a safe work environment.Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
