Java Front-End Engineer

Work Location: Tampa, FL, Houston, TX and Plano, TX Must be USC or GC for this role W2 opportunity (no C2C)Job Description Responsibilities: Develop new user-facing features Build reusable code and libraries for future use Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services Develop ADA compliant applications Collaborate with other team members and stakeholdersSkills 5+ years experience with JavaScript; strong knowledge of its quirks and workarounds 5+ years experience of web markup, including HTML and CSS Strong understanding of ReactJS and NodeJS Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and promises Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues Good understanding of unit testing frameworks such as Jest Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Webpack Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git Good understanding of browser rendering and performanceCapabilities BS/BA degree or equivalent experience Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines Understanding of architecture and design across all systems Working proficiency in developmental tool sets Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals Passionate about building an innovative culture Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages Understanding of software skills such as maintenance, and software improvement
