This entry-level role is the perfect way to gain hands-on experience with integrated security systems - including surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and structured cabling.You'll work directly alongside experienced technicians and project foremen, learning best practices while building the foundation for a long-term career. If you're mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to grow, this role offers the training, mentorship, and opportunity to advance to Technician II and beyond.What You'll DoInstall and service low-voltage cabling, data racks, cameras, access control hardware, and alarm devicesPerform cable terminations, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting under supervisionLearn how to read and apply manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams in real-world settingsAssist senior technicians on projects at commercial client sitesMaintain accurate daily work logs and jobsite documentationFollow OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to ensure safe, efficient installationsWhat You BringHigh School Diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training a plus)Valid Driver's License requiredBasic understanding of wiring, hand tools, and mechanical conceptsStrong work ethic and willingness to learn through on-the-job trainingOSHA 10 certification a plus (not required)Ability to travel regionally depending on assignmentsWhy Join IK Systems?We are a trusted leader in mission-critical low voltage system integration, known for our technical depth, collaborative culture, and commitment to quality.
