Job Details Job Title: MICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN) – Critical Care / Oncology Nursing Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus, Ohio travel nursing jobs) Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: May 4, 2026 End Date: August 3, 2026 Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30); may include rotating days/nights based on department needs Hours per Week: 36 Patient Ratio: 1:2 Setting: MICU Oncology (J11 ICU/MICU ONCOLOGY) — intensive care nurse / critical care nursing Job Type: Travel RN contract (travel nursing jobs, RN jobs in Ohio) Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent MICU experience (including at least 1 year of current specialty experience in critical care) Travel RN experience required (previous travel nursing assignments preferred) Valid RN license: compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS EPIC charting experience required (EPIC/EMR proficiency) Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership; Charge RN acceptable for second reference) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Responsibilities Provide high-quality care for adult and geriatric patients with complex oncologic and critical care needs in the MICU Manage patients with diagnoses including oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, GI bleed, neuromuscular disease, drug overdose, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis Perform advanced critical care procedures: mechanical ventilation management, pulmonary artery catheter monitoring, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, and central venous catheters Administer chemotherapy and complex medication regimens; participate in clinical trials and protocol-driven care Operate and troubleshoot specialty equipment including NxStage CRRT machines, Cortrak NG/Dobhoff placement, Alaris IV pumps, and GE monitors Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and oncology specialists Maintain infection prevention, isolation precautions, and patient safety standards Accurately document patient care and assessments using EPIC Apply now: If you are an experienced MICU RN seeking a travel nursing opportunity in Columbus, OH, please submit your resume, current RN license, and professional references.
