Audio Visual Design Engineer

System Source, a 65-person IT/AV consulting and integration firm, is searching for an Audio-Visual Systems Sales Engineer. You’ll report to the Director of Presentation Systems. We have served the Baltimore Washington region from Hunt Valley MD for over 44 years. We are currently working from home and the field. You’ll directly impact the quality of our project designs to match our clients’ needs. We provide staff members with the resources to deliver projects with outstanding customer satisfaction and finish. The right person will keep on top of technology and market trends, perform advanced technical work, solve the most difficult systems challenges, thrive in a self-driven fast paced environment, and help our salespeople communicate our value. Career path is through engineering, sales, PM, or management. Responsibilities: Support Account Executives with customers need analysis and site surveys Participate in project meetings with clients, architect, and other stakeholders Generate preliminary system design Create bill of materials and scope of work for proposals Generate project documentation, as-builts, and drawings Support field engineers in commissioning systems Assist with end-user training Subject matter expert for after-project support Support company training initiatives Required Knowledge and Skills: 5+ years’ experience in commercial AV Experience with AutoCAD or Visio Experience configuring DSP platforms such as Biamp, BSS, Clear-One Experience configuring UC platforms Familiar with audio transport platforms such as AVB, Dante, Blu-Link, Cobra-Net Experience configuring video transport platforms such as Crestron NVX, AMX/SVSI, Extron or HDBaseT Experience configuring and troubleshooting IP systems AVIXA CTS Ongoing technical education through vendor or industry resources Experience Desired but Not Essential: Experience with D-Tools quoting platform Control System programming such as Crestron, Extron, AMX Avixa CTS-D Bachelor’s Degree in related technical field or comparable experience The commission-free environment among the entire staff promotes teamwork, allowing professionals to apply all their energy to clients' needs.
