Parts Delivery Driver

Job DescriptionPosition ResponsibilitiesEfficiently pick, stage, and deliver automotive parts to professional customers. Handle returns and core pickups. Distribute sales flyers while promoting current promotions and loyalty initiatives. Collect payments from credit accounts on a daily basis. Build lasting relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, sharing insights gained during deliveries. Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to enhance transaction values. Maintain a clean and organized store environment including floors, restrooms, and parking areas. Engage in general stocking tasks such as truck unloading, back stock organization, and cycle counts. Keep abreast of product inventory and new arrivals to facilitate sales support. Interact with walk-in customers to identify their needs and suggest suitable parts or services. Perform additional duties as assigned. Success FactorsSafe driving and effective navigation skills. Proficient in using delivery tracking systems. Friendly, persuasive communication style. Ability to locate, handle, and stock parts effectively; strong safety knowledge. Experience with inventory systems and store equipment. Strong sales aptitude and customer service orientation. Skill in assessing customer needs and recommending suitable solutions. Essential Job Skills for SuccessProficient in English (Spanish is a plus), with strong communication skills for building relationships with customers and colleagues. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Competency in basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various measurement units. Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed. Confidence in engaging customers and promoting product offerings. Eagerness to learn about new products and sales techniques. Preferred ExperiencePrior automotive parts experience is advantageous. EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Physical DemandsThe employee will primarily engage in walking or standing, with requirements to talk, hear, manipulate objects, reach, climb, and kneel. Frequent lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds with assistance is necessary. Vision requirements include close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work EnvironmentWork typically occurs indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks exposed to various weather conditions. Employees may encounter moving mechanical parts, high places, chemicals, risks of electrical shock, and general vibration. Noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate.
