Business Analyst PALM (USC)

Position Title: Business AnalystLocation: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite – 5 days/week)Duration: Long-term contractClient Environment: Government / Public SectorJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support financial and administrative systems for a long-term onsite engagement in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge of PALM (Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management) or FLAIR (Florida Accounting Information Resource) systems, or possess strong expertise in advanced Excel and data analysis.Key Responsibilities:Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirementsWork with PALM / FLAIR or similar financial systems to support operations and reportingPerform data analysis using advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.)Generate and maintain reports, dashboards, and documentationCollaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical teamsSupport system enhancements, testing, and implementation activitiesEnsure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational standardsAssist in process improvements and workflow optimizationRequired Skills & Qualifications:Experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst / Functional AnalystKnowledge or exposure to PALM, FLAIR, or similar financial/government systemsStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel (advanced level)Solid understanding of data analysis, reporting, and documentationExperience working with large datasets and financial dataStrong communication and stakeholder management skills
