Finance Administrative Assistant (PT) Provo City is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to perform clerical support work in the Finance Division. This position requires regular office work to assist the Administrative Services department. Qualified applicants interested in performing this work for Provo City are encouraged to apply.What is the compensation?$18.54 - $22.05 per hour starting (depending on experience); Position hourly range up to $25.56.Part-time Provo City employees are eligible to contribute to individual retirement savings plans through the City (401k, 457, Roth IRA, and/or Traditional IRA) and receive the following great benefits: a) free admission to the Provo Recreation Center, Peaks Ice Arena Public Skating, and Provo Shooting Sports Park; b) a free Provo City Library Card; c) a 25% discount on Provo Recreation Center memberships (direct family only); and d) discounts from various local and national vendors.What are the main duties?Input data into computer.Maintain files.Receive and route calls.Relay information.Make copies.Enter and retrieve data in several different formats.Receive calls or greet the public or coworkers.Give routine information from reports and records.May handle confidential information.Assist other staff members and perform other related duties as required.What are the minimum qualifications?High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).Any experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the essential job duties.Specific experience using specific computers or software packages may be required.A valid, lawful Driver License may be required.What are the hours?The normal work hours are 20-25 hours per week and are flexible between Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.What are the physical and environmental factors?This position requires standing at a counter or sitting at a desk or computer for long time. Some positions require shift work, extensive walking, driving, or light lifting (10-30lbs). Work is inside with little or no occupational hazards present. Some positions may include exposure to high-stress situations or environments, including, contact with the public in confrontational or uncomfortable circumstances.What is the selection process?Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on April 6, 2026. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements listed above to be eligible for consideration.If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal.
