Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionRD&S is seeking a Pipe Welder to work with our construction team, installing refrigeration systems at various customer locations.Key Responsibilities:Maintain a positive and professional attitude and appearanceServe the customer's needs through prompt, thorough and professional serviceUnderstand all weld procedures used by RD&S and perform visual quality checks throughout the installation of the systemComplete daily/weekly work logsTravel as required and stay out of town on a job up to 10 days, occasionally longer.Weld Carbon Steel and Stainless-Steel refrigeration pipe per RD&S WPS B31.5 standards and Structural D1.1. Cost for Elite Welding Academy to issue weld certification will be paid for by RD&S. Time to complete certifications will be on employee. This must be completed prior to or within 90 days of employment.Read and understand drawings associated with the installation of an industrial refrigeration system and efficiently install sections of system as directed.Attend all company sponsored events.Attend all required company meetings, construction meetings, and monthly safety meetings.Supply personal hand tools and welding shield as required for this position.Complete the OSHA 10 online course prior to starting (this online training will be paid for by RD&S).Work on refrigeration systems that include but are not limited to: CO2 & Anhydrous Ammonia.RequirementsMust be a Multi-Process Welder/Fitter with the ability to pass 6G certification tests for SMAW and GTAW.Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints.Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.Ability to get a TWIC card to work at facilities operated under Dept of Homeland Security.Must be able to get a clean DOT physical.
