This includes machine setup, auxiliary equipment setup, and process parameter input. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a neat and orderly work area in accordance with 5S standards and adhering to safety policies.The Process Technician position is divided into three classifications based on skill set and responsibility, beginning with the "C" level and progressing through to an "A" level.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESThe following responsibilities are based on these level/classifications; each level is also responsible for all aspects of the levels beneath them.Level CComplete B-level training curriculum during Level CPerform mold setups and color changes to meet production demandsSet molding process parameters with assistance from a foreman, supervisor, or A/B-level Process TechniciansMonitor production for accuracy and efficiency and work with quality inspectors to identify defectsPerform material handler duties as assigned Level BComplete A-level training curriculum during Level BSet molding process parameters to ensure part qualityTroubleshoot process, machine, and auxiliary equipment issues to ensure quality and reduce downtimeLearn new manufacturing technology as it is introducedPartner with supervisors and/or lead molding technicians to improve productivity and reduce scrap and defects Level AWork with quality inspectors to identify defects and make informed process adjustmentsSample new and existing moldsStay current with new molding, auxiliary equipment, and robotics technologyPromote safety by following all policies and setting a positive exampleMaintain 5S standards and plant cleanlinessAssume supervisor or foreman responsibilities in their absence GENERAL EXPECTATIONSThis job description does not list every duty; team members may be assigned additional responsibilitiesMaintain a positive work environment through respectful communicationContinue to grow job-specific knowledge and support continuous improvementComply with safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe incumbent will:Stand or walk most of the shiftFrequently bend, twist, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and climb machinery with proper fall protectionOccasionally push, pull, and lift 75 lbs. or moreOccasionally lift above waist or shoulder level up to and exceeding 75 lbs.Perform repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and foot movementsOccasionally perform keyboarding tasksFrequently be exposed to odors, dust, and oil/grease QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED requiredAbility to complete C-level molding technician training requirementsAbility to read and write English and follow written and verbal instructionsMechanical aptitude and math proficiencyComputer proficiency EQUAL OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT
