This is a full-time, exempt position, located in our Mentor, Ohio office. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Including, but not limited to these functionalities:Maintain and promote a safe work environment, ensuring team members follow safety protocols and procedures.Communicate pertinent and relevant production issues to other supervision and management.Demonstrated knowledge of machines and machine shop operationsMastercam experience CNC manufacturing experienceProven ability to program at the machine utilizing G&M Code ProgramingPrior supervisory experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to foster and maintain positive working relationships.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the machine shop and provide technical assistance to machinists when needed.Drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology.Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving team members in problem solving and decision making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.Implement and manage departmental goals to assist in reaching company goals.Serve as liaison between department and management.Ensure area housekeeping is up to expectations.Maintain time and production records.Attend and participate in production meetings.Schedule overtime according to production and business needs.All other duties assigned.Other essential duties as assigned.Required Skills And Qualifications Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field. Experience: 3 or more years of experience of programming machines utilizing G&M Code Programming3-5 years’ experience of prior supervisory experienceCNC Lathes experience or related experience. Demonstrated knowledge of machining and machine shop operationsMastercam experience CNC Lathes manufacturing experienceAbility to foster and maintain positive working relationships.
