Working in a team based environment, our mission is to help patients optimize their urological health.Job OverviewAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the assessment of patients, including the development, evaluation, and modification of the plan of care for patients undergoing procedures with moderate sedation. You will provide care to patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards. Patients served include all age groups.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with policies and regulationsExplains procedures to patients, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient confidentiality (HIPAA)Supports and drives quality patient care by implementing facility-specific action plans and goalsPerforms tasks with considerable judgment, providing assistance to team members and offering solutionsEnsures medical records are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations, performing regular auditsMaintains the cleanliness and safety of the facility, inspecting equipment, recommending repairs, and managing supplies efficientlyAssists with hazardous waste disposal and upholds environmental standardsAttends meetings, collaborates with physicians, and addresses their concernsParticipates in the development of radiography policies and supports regulatory surveysAdministers moderate sedation during procedureRequirementsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven experience with monitoring and maintaining inventoryProven working experience with moderate sedationProficient in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office and EMR systemsGraduate of an accredited school of nursingValid RN license in the state of VirginiaBLS certification, ACLS certificationEnglishEqual employment opportunity for all is a very important philosophy for our practice.
