As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the project manager to ensure overall accountability for safety, schedule, cost, quality, and project performance. The goal of this position is to develop the skills and experience necessary on your career path to becoming a project manager. The salary range is $73,000.00 - $95,000.00. Benefits:Competitive Compensation PackagePaid Time OffCompany sponsored Healthcare Plan including Medical, Dental & Vision CoverageHSA Account with Company Contribution401k Retirement Plan with Company MatchProfit SharingAccident & Critical Illness InsuranceStudent Loan Payment & 529 College Saving ProgramCompany Paid:Life & AD&D InsuranceShort-Term & Long-Term Disability InsuranceIdentity Theft ProtectionEmployee Assistance Program Responsibilities:Support Project Managers in the planning and execution of overhead transmission drilling/foundations, and matting/access construction projectsAssist with project setup, project documentation, contract files, drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change logs, and meeting minutesHelp track project scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and overall project performanceAssist with project schedules, three-week lookaheads, progress updates, and milestone trackingSupport cost tracking, forecasting, earned value updates, production tracking, and budget reviewsAssist with preparation and review of project reports, customer updates, billing support, and internal project documentationCoordinate with field leadership, project controls, procurement, fleet, safety, environmental, and subcontractors to support project executionHelp review field productivity, labor, equipment, material usage, and schedule performanceSupport the change management process, including tracking potential changes, gathering backup, and assisting with change order preparationParticipate in project meetings, customer meetings, internal planning meetings, and jobsite visitsAssist with execution planning for work scopes that may include overhead transmission, drilling/foundations, matting/access, civil access, and environmental constraintsPromote a strong safety culture and help ensure project activities are completed in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory requirementsDay travel using company provided vehicle to job sites Education, Skills, Experience Needed:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceEntry-level to 2+ years of construction, project coordination, project controls, or field experience preferredPrior internship, co-op, field, estimating, project controls, or construction coordination experience preferredInterest in overhead transmission, utility infrastructure, civil construction, drilling/foundations, or access/matting workProficient computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, field teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholdersSelf-directed, motivated, and willing to learn the operational, financial, and contractual aspects of project managementStrong attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasksWillingness to travel to project sites as requiredTeam player who displays leadership and diplomacyThe ability to adapt to changing business requirement with minimal advanced noticeExposure to utility construction, overhead transmission, distribution, drilling/foundations, access/matting, or civil construction preferredFamiliarity with project documentation, cost tracking, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and change management preferredExperience working with or around utility clients, contractors, subcontractors, or field construction teams preferred This job description is subject to change at any time.
