Project Manager – Structural Engineering
What You Will Do:
We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our growing team in our Orlando office. This role would primarily focus on providing technical and project management leadership on varied project scales in addition to business development in the Orlando market. The Project Manager is expected to have a strong knowledge of structural engineering design principles in order to manage project budget, schedule, and team resources. Typical projects would range from existing building expansions/modifications to +800,000 SF new building designs. The applicant should be outgoing with wants to do business development in addition to in office engineering. This is a client facing position with expectations for generating work.

Working with a small team that focuses on unique and challenging projects

Potential to quickly grow within the role and the opportunity to lead the team
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Master’s in Structural Engineering
8+ years of experience in the building structural design industry
Active Professional Engineer license in Florida
Experience in Revit
Experience with industry standard software, including but not limited to Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM) products, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.
Thorough knowledge of commercial building code and applicable structural design code material references.
Active member of professional and technical societies preferred
Previous project management / client management experience is a plus
Skills and Competencies:
Thorough understanding of building design and construction, most specifically detailing of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, etc.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are required
Ability to identify applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictions and apply to the project.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines, and bring each to successful completion
