Respiratory Therapist

Administer advanced respiratory therapies, including mechanical artificial ventilation. Provide basic therapies such as intermittent positive pressure breathing and aerosol treatments. Accurately record treatment details on patient charts. Set up, operate, and monitor all types of ventilatory support. Conduct diagnostic tests for cardiopulmonary conditions. Actively participate in resuscitative efforts as needed. Clean, sterilize, and perform minor maintenance on therapeutic equipment. Administer emergency respiratory care procedures Provide emergency respiratory therapy services Set up respiratory and respiratory related equipment for patients Perform advanced respiratory care modalities Maintain necessary respiratory therapy records Assess patients respiratory status Educate patients about respiratory disease Administer routine respiratory care therapeutic modalities Provide emergency respiratory support to patients Assess the respiratory care needs of patients Inspect and test respiratory therapy equipment Perform advanced respiratory care modalities Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications and treatment based on patient outcomes Detracting from primary respiratory care services Test respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment Provide patient and family education regarding respiratory care Evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications and treatment based on patient outcomes Perform advanced respiratory care modalities Develop respiratory therapy staff by providing information Critical Information Shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, weekends required (PRN). Hours per week: Roughly 20 (PRN). Education/Licenses Needed Proper respiratory therapist licensing and relevant certifications.
