Construction Supply Store Clerk / Delivery DriverThe Construction Supply Store Clerk / Delivery Driver is responsible for supporting daily retail operations while ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of materials to job sites and customers. This role combines customer service, inventory management, and safe transportation of construction supplies. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in both a warehouse/storefront and driving environment.Store Operations & Customer ServiceGreet and assist customers in selecting construction materials, tools, and suppliesProcess sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systemsAnswer customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and availabilityMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and warehouseReceive, inspect, and stock incoming inventoryInventory & Warehouse SupportPull and stage orders for customer pickup and deliveryConduct regular inventory counts and report discrepanciesLoad and unload materials using forklifts or other equipment (if certified)Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damageDelivery DutiesSafely operate company vehicles to deliver materials to job sites and customersLoad, secure, and transport materials to prevent shifting or damageVerify delivery contents with customers and obtain signatures as neededFollow delivery schedules and communicate delays or issues promptlyPerform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needsPhysical Requirements In Order To Perform Essential FunctionsSit/walk - up to 8-hour shift in a store and warehouse settingAbility to spend an extended period working in a standing positionBend/stoop/twist – oftenLift 25lbs frequentlyGood vision and hearingMental Requirements In Order To Perform Essential FunctionsComprehend reasonable instructions, written or oral, and plan steps to carry out essential functions with minimal supervisionQualifications In Order To Perform Essential FunctionsHigh school degreeProven working experience as a Delivery DriverValid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (medical card) required to operate delivery vehiclesAbility to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditionsExcellent organizational and time management skillsGood driving record with no traffic violationsPrior customer service and/or construction experience preferredPunctuality and accountability when arriving at work and closing out cash registers nightlyAttention to detail is essential for building and stocking displays to company standardsFriendly and approachable demeanorAbility to work in a group and contribute to a smoothly flowing experience for all customersA detailed understanding of products or services solid and the ability to correctly answer customer questions as neededAbility to multitask and balance the needs of several customers at once is mandatoryBasic math skills are needed to accurately close out transactions and provide change to customersEnvironmental:Store and warehouse environmentOccasionally outside in a variety of weather conditions while making deliveries.Personal Conduct:Interacts courteously and respectfully with coworkersInteracts professionally with customers and visitorsTotal Rewards:We understand the value of our Team Members and how each and every one plays such a vital role in the day to day success of Coeur d'Alene Paving/CDA Redi Mix & Precast.
