Long Term Care Nurse (SNF/LTC RN)

Long Term Care Rn ServicesLong term care RN services can be necessary over the short term for rehabilitation from an illness or injury, or they may be required over the long term for patients who need care on a frequent or around-the-clock basis due to a chronic medical condition. Examples of skilled nursing services include wound care, intravenous (IV) therapy, injections, physical therapy, and monitoring of vital signs and medical equipment. LTC RN's can work in a variety of settings including camps, clinics, schools, and ambulatory care centers but typically work at skilled nursing facilities.Education/requirements:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year EducationAssociates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year EducationYou must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.RN's can only work with an active state license.***1 year hosp exp; BLS (AHA) and ACLS required in the packet; Must have vent/trach exp. Knowledge of central lines & wound care exp. Must have NM or multi state compact RN licence attached to resume
