Material Handler

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, heavy equipment operation, and safety protocols to ensure smooth and safe logistics processes. Prior warehouse experience, including operating forklifts and other heavy equipment, is highly preferred. Duties Load and unload materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately utilizing RF scanners and warehouse management systems Operate cranes and other mechanical tools to move large or heavy items safely Assist with shipping and receiving functions, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA standards Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning Support warehouse management in inventory counts and cycle counting activities Follow all safety procedures during heavy lifting, materials handling, and equipment operation Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflows and improve efficiency Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks safely Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and safety systems (OSHA compliance) Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control Strong knowledge of construction or industrial environments is a plus Experience in warehouse supervision or management roles is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order accuracy and safety procedures Physical stamina to stand for long periods and move throughout large warehouse spaces This position offers an engaging work environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are prioritized.
