Kennel Assistant

Georgetown Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Kennel Technician to become the next member of our team. This is a part-time position working Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. We’re looking for: Fast learners who take initiative and are willing to help others Dependable individuals who have excellent time management skills Candidates who have prior experience or are eager to begin a career in veterinary medicine This position is physical and involves a lot of standing, walking, and lifting. Additional responsibilities include: Animal handling, feeding, and cleaning Observation of behaviors, and knowing when to alert a veterinarian or technician about a change in one of the patients Chores throughout the hospital such as cleaning, dishes, restocking, garbage, and laundry Medication administration Assisting boarding clients with drop-off and pick-up Details: Compensation: $12.50 - $15/hour This is a part-time position working Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Our hospital has 6 exam rooms, 2 surgery rooms, a large treatment area, a doggy daycare area, and indoor/outdoor kennels for our patients in addition to a conference room and in-house gym for our team. These features allow us to provide routine and emergency services to small animals with state-of-the-art equipment. We have a multi-doctor team that performs surgeries 3 days a week, and we trust in our support team to provide exceptional client communication and education. We take a gentle approach to medicine, offer acupuncture services, and have great relationships with local specialty doctors for procedures like orthopedics.
