Growing together.Optum Radiology, part of Optum, has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detail oriented Radiology Scheduler Call Center to join our team. The Radiology Scheduler Call Center is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.Schedule: Monday through Friday 40 hours work week between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Rotating Saturdays between the hours of 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Schedule will be determined by supervisor upon hireLocation: 100 South Bedford Road, Second Floor, Admin Office, Mount Kisco, NY 10549Primary Responsibilities:Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address and insurance informationAssist at a front desk when coverage is neededPerform insurance verification on the date of serviceScheduling radiology procedures in an organized and efficient mannerKnowledge of medical terminology and radiology procedures and requirementsFile and maintain medical recordsConfirms and schedule appointmentsAnswering incoming and outgoing telephone calls promptly and courteouslyPerform referral documentation promptlyPerforms certain follow-up services for patients in a prompt and courteous manner, such as scheduling specialist appointments, scheduling follow-up appointments and obtaining copies of lab results or specialist reportsAdhere to the standards identified via Sparq regarding Optum Employee PoliciesWork cohesively with fellow employees to achieve specific team goalsKeep abreast of current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirementsComfortable working in high pace environmentParticipate in planning, coordinating, and implementing care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team in accordance with the Plan of CareAssure the continuity of care through scheduling and tracking systemsProvide effective communication to patient / family team members and other health care professionals as evidenced by documentation, case conferences, communication notes, and evaluationsComply with administrative policies to ensure quality of careDemonstrate precision and efficiency in scanning documents and monitoring the fax server, retrieving and / or scanning documents and assigning to the appropriate electronic chartAll employees are expected to keep abreast of current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirementsCrosstrain and help in other locations if neededPerforms other duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group?
