Senior Java/Cloud Developer – Azure & Modern ApplicationsAbout the RoleBlue Chip Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Java/Cloud Developer to lead the modernization and migration of enterprise applications to the Azure cloud platform. This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on designing, developing, and optimizing scalable cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cloud engineering, modern application architecture, DevOps automation, and full-stack development. This is a Hybrid role, and candidates must be able to work on-site 3 days a week in Fort Worth, TX.ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDERS. FOR THIS ROLE.THIS IS A 6 MONTH CONTRACT TO HIRE ROLE.NO C2C OR 3RD PARTY VENDORS ARE ALLOWEDKey ResponsibilitiesCloud Solution Design & DevelopmentDesign, develop, and implement scalable cloud-native applications on Microsoft AzureLead migration efforts from on-premise environments to cloud-based architecturesBuild and maintain modern microservices and microfrontend-based applicationsProvide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews for development teamsDrive architecture decisions and promote software engineering best practicesDevOps & AutomationDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar toolsImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TerraformAutomate deployment, monitoring, and operational workflowsSupport containerized deployments using Docker and KubernetesPerformance & ReliabilityMonitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and cloud resource utilizationTroubleshoot production issues and improve system reliabilitySupport disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and operational readinessImplement observability and monitoring solutions using tools such as DatadogSecurity & ComplianceApply cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, and secure access controlsEnsure compliance with enterprise security and governance standardsPartner with infrastructure and security teams to maintain secure cloud environmentsCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with product owners, architects, and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutionsCreate technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and system workflowsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technology modernization strategiesRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field8+ years of hands-on software development experience using:JavaPostgreSQLREST APIsScalable microservices architectureAngular5+ years of cloud engineering experience designing and managing cloud applications at scaleExperience developing Single Page Applications (SPA) using microfrontend architecture3+ years of experience with:SQLHibernateREST and/or SOAP web servicesStrong experience with:DockerKubernetesServerless architecturesTerraformGitHub Actions or similar CI/CD toolsDatadog or other observability platformsWhat We're Looking ForStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to lead technical initiatives independentlyExcellent communication and collaboration skillsPassion for cloud technologies, automation, and modern engineering practicesCommitment to building scalable, secure, and maintainable systems
