Proposal Writer Work Location: Remote w/trips to site Alpharetta, GA office 4-6 times per year Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate Hours: Full Time Duration: Long Term Position Details: We are seeking a Proposal Writer to support new projects across the portfolio. Under the leadership of the Estimating team, you will provide the team with additional proposal writing and bid submission capability. Responsibilities: Translate complex technical or operational concepts into clear, persuasive language tailored to solicitation requirements. Collaborate with SMEs, program managers, pricing, contracts, and graphics teams to gather information and ensure proposal alignment. Coordinate projects with support from additional support and with strict adherence to detailed customer specifications Act as single point of contact within the group, break out and assign deliverables, develop proposal outline, schedule/facilitate kickoff calls and touchpoints, ensure RFP compliance, facilitate reviews, perform final polish and quality control on all documents, manage the post-bid clarifications, build proposal presentation PowerPoints, and overall coordination of the proposal from the bid/no bid review to the contract execution. Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, serving as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and clients to ensure timely, compliant, and compelling submissions. Strategically plan and manage proposal timelines, kickoff meetings, content development, and review cycles, ensuring alignment with client expectations and internal quality standards. Author and refine high-impact proposal content including executive summaries, technical narratives, project profiles, and resumes. Collaborate with estimating, operations, and business development teams to craft win strategies and value propositions. Support, maintain and enhance the proposal library and knowledge base (SharePoint, HubSpot), ensuring content is current and readily available. Analyze proposal outcomes and client feedback to drive continuous improvement in proposal strategy, content, and process. Contribute to business development efforts by developing pursuit strategies, supporting pipeline management, and preparing client-facing materials. 1-3 yrs of proposal experience, including reading and responding to RFPs and RFIs and understand contractual terminology and obligations. Nuclear experience is required Self-motivated Strong English language and writing skills, with a high attention to detail and the ability to proofread and edit content. Strong computer skills and expertise in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, HubSpot and SharePoint. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and capable of critical thinking and problem solving. · Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with shared goals. Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities.
