The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines for our customers. The Data Engineer will develop automated pipelines for a variety of data types and datasets.Basic Qualifications:Work with data to solve business problems, building and maintaining the infrastructure to answer questions and improve processesHelp streamline our data science workflows, adding value to our product offering and building out our customer lifecycle and retention modelsWork closely with the data science and business intelligence teams to develop data models and pipelines for research, reporting, and machine learningBe an advocate for best practices and continued learningWork closely with our data science to help build complex algorithms that provide unique insights into our dataUse agile software development processes to iteratively make improvements to our back-end systemsModel front-end and back-end data sources to help draw a more comprehensive picture of user flows throughout our system and enable powerful data analysisBuild data pipelines that clean, transform and aggregate data from disparate sourcesDevelop models that can be used to make predictions and answer questions for the overall businessPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or equivalent3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization/exploration toolsFamiliarity with the AWS ecosystem specifically RedShift and RDSCommunication skills, especially explaining technical concepts to non-technical business leadersExperience building or maintaining ETL processesSquare Peg Technologies Company InformationSquare Peg Technologies is a boutique technology consulting firm that specializes in data solutions using the latest technologies in analytics, data science, data engineering, and data management.
