DescriptionBecome part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well‐being of the unique communities we serve.SummaryThe Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a highly professional, detail‐oriented, and organized candidate to serve as Medical Student Clerkships, Fellowship, and Assistant Residency coordinator.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate all aspects of clerkships including schedules for medical student rotations and communicating with all students.Answer all inquiries from UNC and visiting students regarding programs and course information.Independently prioritize and coordinate multifaceted demands from faculty and students and meet the educational calendar deadlines established by the School of Medicine.Orient individual medical students during rotation in emergency medicine.Serve as the secondary administrative person for the emergency medicine residency program; manage the daily operations and activities of the GME residency/fellowship program(s).Act as liaison with learners, faculty and other staff members, as well as GME.Responsible for administrative and daily operations for EMS, Ultrasound, and Global Health fellowships within Emergency Medicine.Assist the GME Program Director(s) and/or other levels of GME Program Coordinators or Administrators in implementation and management of the administrative/academic operations of the program.Coordinate educational activities (e.g., didactic conference schedule, Grand Rounds, etc.) that support the program's curriculum and adhere to ACGME requirements.Provide guidance to residents/fellows on program and GME policies, and non‐clinical aspects of the program.Other administrative duties as assigned.QualificationsExperience with Medical Student clerkships and/or Residency (ACGME) is preferred.Associate's degree or equivalent (or Bachelor's degree with no previous experience, or other specified combinations).Leadership and personnel management skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and setting priorities to meet strict deadlines.Experience with ACGME, TMB, and NRMP policies and procedures.Understanding of hospital regulatory environment.Independent work, initiative, and adaptability to changes in work requirements.Diplomacy, compassion, sensitivity, and commitment to professional activities.Handling sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.Other InformationEducation Requirements: Associate's degree or equivalent.
